Dear Truedell Families,

Creating class lists is a shared task by our team of educators. Throughout the school year, we spend a significant amount of time getting to know your child and discovering their academic, social, and emotional needs in educational settings both inside and outside of the classroom. Each year we strive to build the best possible learning environments for all students. Our school team considers a wide range of factors, including the overall number of students in each grade (if a split grade), student learning styles and personalities, the number of boys and girls, academic strengths and needs, peer relationships, learning skills and work habits, and social/emotional strengths and needs.

Whether a single grade or a combined grade, all classrooms include students performing at a wide range of achievement levels. We meet the needs of all learners in a classroom through differentiated instruction, with a focus on developing critical thinking skills and by providing modifications and accommodations for various learning needs. In every case, Truedell staff put a lot of thought into creating responsive classroom learning environments that will support the success of all students.

If you wish to request a class placement for next year for your child, it must be made by email to Ms. Jacob by Wednesday, June 15th at noon. Please keep in mind that these requests will be considered but that a request does not guarantee a particular class placement.

Here are a few staff updates:

-Mrs. Pitt is changing schools so that she will be working closer to home. She has been the Office Administrator at Truedell since 2005! She will be dearly missed, but we wish her every success in her new adventure as Office Administrator at Elginburg & District P. S.

-Mrs. Elliott is going on leave next year. We look forward to having her return the following school year.

For this reason, information about class placements will not be available until the first day of school. On the first day of school, teachers will be in the yard at 8:45 a.m. to greet students and direct them to their appropriate class lines.
