📝 Principal's Message

As we settle back into our routines at Truedell, it’s wonderful to feel the energy and enthusiasm throughout the school. January is already shaping up to be a busy and exciting month filled with meaningful learning experiences for our students.

We are looking forward to several upcoming events:

  • Wednesday, January 14 – Dental Screening for JK, SK, Grade 2, and Grade 7 students
  • Monday, January 19 – Bus Safety Presentations
  • Friday, January 23 – Students from Ms. Squarebriggs’ 7/8B, Mr. Keeler’s 7/8A, Ms. Young’s 6/7, and Mrs. Phippen’s 5/6 classes attending the Queen’s Women’s Hockey Game. Go Gaels!

A friendly reminder that Friday, January 30 is a PA Day, with no school for students, as educators will be working on Term 1 report cards which will go home on February 13th. For all key dates in Limestone, a PDF version of the 2025-2026 School Year Calendar is available online.

Please continue reading below for important updates from our community partners and Limestone DSB, including details about upcoming Grade 8 information nights.

Bayridge Secondary School's information night is this week on Tuesday January 13th at 6 PM to 7:30 PM. All grade 8 students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend! Upon arrival, parents will receive a folder with information about Bayridge Secondary, special programming and the course selection process. Families will meet in the Bear Pit in the main foyer to learn general info about the school, and then break into groups for guided tours led by staff and the students on the Connection Crew. More information is included below.

Thank you to our families for your continued support and partnership. With so many great opportunities ahead, it’s an exciting time to be part of the Truedell community.

Yours in Education,
David Allison
Principal

Stay Up to Date on Bus Delays and Cancellations

Sign up for Bus Status Alerts through Tri-Board’s Student Portal

  • Families should sign up for bus status alerts by creating an account in Tri-Board’s Student Portal. Families can add their student to their account, so they are signed up to receive alerts for their specific bus and zone cancellations.
  • When all transportation is cancelled across the district, the notification is sent as a general notice from Tri-Board to everyone with an account. Tri-Board does their best to post this alert by 6:00 a.m.
  • Tri-Board will be communicating all bus delays and cancellations. The LDSB will not be communicating this information directly with families. The best way to receive communication regarding bus cancellations or delays is through the Student Portal.
