📝 Principal's Message

Dear Timberwolf Families,

We hope everyone enjoyed a restful weekend and are ready for another exciting week of learning and connection at Truedell! October continues to bring wonderful opportunities for our students to explore, create, and grow together.

Guest Speaker: Patrick Callaghan
This week, Ms. Squarebriggs' class will welcome guest speaker Patrick Callaghan, who will be facilitating learning and discussion related to mental health and well-being. We are grateful for this opportunity to deepen students’ understanding and support positive wellness practices.

Volleyball Season Underway
Our boys and girls volleyball teams are set to compete against Cataraqui Woods Elementary School this week. We are proud of our Timberwolves for their dedication, teamwork, and positive spirit. Good luck to both teams as they take to the court. Go Timberwolves!

Pumpkin Patch Visits
Ms. Hendrick's and Ms. Hilton's classes will be heading out to the pumpkin patch this week to enjoy some seasonal fun and outdoor learning. We can’t wait to hear about their adventures and discoveries.

Queen’s Connections Tinker Trailer
We are also excited to welcome the Queen’s Connections Tech 'n' Tinker trailer to Truedell. Students will have the chance to explore STEM, coding, and robotics through engaging, hands-on activities. This will be a fantastic opportunity for our learners to think critically, solve problems, and collaborate in creative ways.

🎃 Monster Mash Dance-A-Thon – Oct. 31
We’re thrilled to welcome back this much-loved annual event! Students will enjoy lively dance sessions in the gym, with Grade 7 & 8 leaders handing out house tickets and bracelets to spark energy and participation. It’s a fun-filled day of music, movement, and school spirit.

Cross Country

Congratulations to our amazing running team! Last week, we had 24 runners compete at the district finals. We are so very proud of the grit, determination and positivity they demonstrated. It was a tough day in the rain and cold, and all of the athletes improved their performance. Wow!

Keep up the amazing spirit, Timberwolves!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and enthusiasm. We are so proud of all that our students are achieving and look forward to another week filled with curiosity, teamwork, and school spirit.

Yours in education,
David Allison
Principal

Student Census 2025 - See Yourself in Limestone

Limestone is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for all students. To help us better understand how students’ identities and experiences relate to their achievement and well-being, we are launching our second See Yourself in Limestone Student Census Survey this fall.

The census is a voluntary and confidential survey for students in Grades 4 to 12, running from November 24 to 28, 2025. It gathers information about students’ identities and their experiences at school. This data is then paired with academic information to help us understand what school is like for different groups of students.

Important information for families:

  • The survey is optional.
  • Responses are confidential and students can skip any questions they do not wish to answer.
  • Students will complete the survey during class time.
  • Students who do not participate will be provided with an alternative activity.

Families who do not want their student(s) to complete the survey must contact their school principal by Friday, November 14, 2025. Opting out means the student will not receive the survey in their email inbox.

By better understanding students’ identities and experiences, we can remove barriers and better support students in accessing what they need to succeed.

Stay Up to Date on Bus Delays and Cancellations

Sign up for Bus Status Alerts through Tri-Board’s Student Portal

  • Families should sign up for bus status alerts by creating an account in Tri-Board’s Student Portal. Families can add their student to their account, so they are signed up to receive alerts for their specific bus and zone cancellations.
  • When all transportation is cancelled across the district, the notification is sent as a general notice from Tri-Board to everyone with an account. Tri-Board does their best to post this alert by 6:00 a.m.
  • Tri-Board will be communicating all bus delays and cancellations. The LDSB will not be communicating this information directly with families. The best way to receive communication regarding bus cancellations or delays is through the Student Portal.
