📝 Principal's Message
Dear Timberwolf Families,
As we step into the first week of December, it’s hard to believe how quickly time is flying by at Truedell! This past week was filled with meaningful learning, positive participation, and strong community spirit. Our students continue to show curiosity, kindness, and teamwork in everything they do, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm they bring to our school each day.
Last week, a group of our staff faced the boys’ volleyball team in a high-energy matchup during practice. The students showcased impressive talent and control throughout the game, making it a clear highlight of the week.
Looking ahead, we have another exciting week planned:
Monday
• Patrick Callaghan visits Mr. Keeler’s class for a mental health workshop.
Friday
• Boys’ Volleyball Tournament
• Jingle Bell Walk – an annual event to kick off the festive season and celebrate wellness as a school community.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Truedell community for the wonderful Staff Appreciation Lunch. The thoughtful preparation and generosity meant so much to our whole team, and we are truly grateful for your kindness and support.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership. Be sure to read on for more important updates and opportunities from Truedell and our community partners.
Yours in Education,
David Allison

Kingston Youth Drive
Students at Bayridge Secondary School are organizing the Kingston Youth Drive from December 1-19 to support the Kingston Youth Shelter, and staff, students, family and friends of Truedell Public School are invited to join us in this initiative. Our goal is to provide meaningful support to local youth who may be facing difficult circumstances this winter.
The Kingston Youth Shelter offers emergency housing, essential supplies, and supportive programming for individuals aged 16-24 in the Kingston area. Winter can be an especially challenging time, and the need for donations increases significantly during the colder months. By participating in this drive, Truedell Public School will be helping us ensure that these young individuals have access to the resources and comfort items they need.

Stay Up to Date on Bus Delays and Cancellations
Sign up for Bus Status Alerts through Tri-Board’s Student Portal
- Families should sign up for bus status alerts by creating an account in Tri-Board’s Student Portal. Families can add their student to their account, so they are signed up to receive alerts for their specific bus and zone cancellations.
- When all transportation is cancelled across the district, the notification is sent as a general notice from Tri-Board to everyone with an account. Tri-Board does their best to post this alert by 6:00 a.m.
- Tri-Board will be communicating all bus delays and cancellations. The LDSB will not be communicating this information directly with families. The best way to receive communication regarding bus cancellations or delays is through the Student Portal.
School Attendance Matters
Consistent school attendance helps students build a strong foundation of knowledge, encourages a sense of responsibility, and allows teachers to better support each student's individual needs, leading to improved academic performance and a more cohesive classroom environment.
